Wish we all could get 5 percent cut  to  our tax bills. But that will never happens we have to pay for the money the last government wasted keeping the banks afloat.  They are still laughing in our faces. SO is rich man Blair

The truth is with people starting up their own business I would say 90% fail within the first two years, because getting a business off the ground and to make a profit is one of the hardest things that anyone ever does. You work all hours that god made, and if you work out how much you are working for it depresses you. My wife and I run a farm and farm shop business. We rise at 4 am, and that's daily, we go indoors about 9 pm to crash out on the sofa. The work involved with farming is so strenuous and backbreaking that both of us feel permanently tired. One day a week is spent form filling and dealing with the mountain of bureaucracy involved with farming. We probably earn about £25.000, a year between us, if you have a good well paid job think your self lucky.

So, thanks to Mr Camerons tax changes, Mr well off trying to make ends meet on a £250k salary will be just over £1k a month better off, whilst those of us who are truly struggling will be just over £10 a month better off. Not quite sure why I'm surprised?

Love the healthy predictions for future growth in a couple of years time.

Could he remind us what the growth outlook was for 2012 - when he "predicted" it a couple of years ago.

Bet it wasn't well under 1%

So they can have a years more tax off you why else?

Reference the predition  about growth I think nearly every developed country got their growth rates wrong.  Because no one knew in 2009 how bad the banks and stock markets had cocked up   and were allowed to by their associated governments.  Will still be years before we get sorted. Especially if more Euro countries **** up   and China is allowed to keep its money value so low

I wonder how many of the government will give up smoking or drinking or driving  because they are feeling the pinch .
At least  previous governments gave you something to take off you this bunch of cretins can't even do that .
But that is what happens when well off middle England win elections disgusted just disgusted .
I am encouraging my 12 year old son to find a future outside of this miserable country because it is well and truly finished

once again those who gained most from bank bailouts ie the rich investors are  being excused the austerity measures forced upon the rest of us, why does this not surprise me.

Same as ever. Nothing for the people trying to live on a normal wage. But do they care NO and they never will. I need to get out of this forsaken country.

Why is it that when the budget comes up , things that increase in price go up from 6 pm, but things that decrease in price OR the lower the tax rate etc it always seem to come into effect in 6 months time?
avatar
What a farce. Another smack in the eye for working people and another ivory handled back scratcher for the rich.
avatar
And the rich get richer...........
And the get poorer......
As ever!

Look, whatever country you are in the problems are the same! People voted this government in so people need to deal with it. Either accept it or start an uprising!

Either way the only way we can get out of this mess(a stronger word would be edited) is to start backing the country and making it a wonderful place again.

DON'T say that you can not do this as you are a little person in the machine, even the smallest cog can upset and change the balance! So gripe and moan OR Get a grip and start the change!

Although I get as frastrated as the next about the rich getting richer and how its always the lower classes that suffer more, I'm also aware that the rich employ most of us working folk, whether directly or indirectly so we need to make sure they stay in the uk and not move out as many are doing.

It makes no bloody difference as to who is in power, they ALL give with one hand and take more with the other.

This budget sucks as does our government !.

37p on a packet of cigarettes, that's a joke. When everybody has stopped smoking because they can't afford them then where is the government going to get the tax from..........motorists, again !

Stop sending our taxes to other countries and look after the people who pay the taxes.

We have a lot of unemployed people but we also have a lot of non-british people employed ?, how does that work ?

Sort out imigration, sort out the justice system and stop giving/wasting our money.
