Chelsea tractors (big black ugly 4x4s) are the worst things on the road. They should all be taxed OFF the road; after all isn't that what they were designed for?

It's not so much the drivers that are the most irritating but the road traffic planners, who insist on doing all they can to stop traffic from moving at all.

Unecessary traffic lights, pedestrian crossing lights, ( ideal for the child who likes pressing buttons ) humps in the road designed to damage your car, ridiculously placed white lines that are impossible to negotiate, silly little roundabouts where a conventional junction used to work fine, traffic 'calming' measures that make your blood boil and unrealistic speed limits expressly designed for increasing some authorities revenue.

However by far the worst, is the insistence of road traffic planners to block off those useful little sidestreets ( which help to alleviate congestion ) and /or making them into one way streets whilst stopping people from parking where they always used to....

ThePhilipFrom1957 is obviously a true convert to the Blair generation who want to ban everything they don't agree with. Good drivers drive all types of vehicle and so do bad drivers. It's the bad drivers who need to be taken off the roads not the vehicles they drive. Get a life!

i don't understand what this go fast culture is all about ,if i want to go fast i go on a track day. but some of these narrow minded views make me sick they have no responsibility for themselves or other road users. my car has a speed limiter on it and i must admit to having to drive at 30 in villages or towns infuriates me, but if everyone's car did the same miles per hour it would sort things out as there would be no competition on the roads no road rage as we would know 'that it was the car's speed limiter not the driver's fault'. and if some wally was going slow on purpose we could then call him/her names and shout 'get off the road you moppets!' the most annoying people on the road are as we all know EVERYBODY because as i and you know .i am the best driver in the world.

What a country we live in!!! For God's sake don't we have freedom of choice here. If speed limits were set properly as they used to be, until we elected interfering busybodies who want us to be totally under their control, we would not have so much of a problem. Anybody who voluntarily has a speed limiter fitted is very misguided. They are dangerous!! All it takes is for people to be courteous to other road users, which here in good old GB seems to be so hard to do. Everybody should have the right to make good progress without being held up by some self righteous moron trying be a rolling "speed limiter" on a mission to save the planet. Driving should be enjoyed not used as a means of just getting from A to B.

From experience boy racers always end up wrapped around trees and barriers, worst of all are lazy drivers who don't indicate at junctions, roundabouts etc etc causing confusion in an already hectic traffic system.

Good driving has nothing to do with car power, it all comes down to brain power and how you use it. Some drivers obviously have more intelligence than others, but that also applies to the whole spectrum of life. Reading these comments shows what I am talking about.

I am a Caravaner and have been for many years. I drive at the speed the law allows me to drive, perhaps these people who are annoyed with the speed caravaners drive, should first read the highway code, on single carriage ways we are limited to 50 mph, on dual carriage ways and motor ways 60 mph. I own an Audi A4 estate I could drive at 70 mph plus all day long and in France and Germany I have
