One thing many self-made billionaires have in common is that they're not shy about sharing their opinions. This means that we have the opportunity to learn from their collective wisdom and experiences, to find out how we too can get richer, become entrepreneurs and even lead better lives.

Unsurprisingly, they don't waste their breath telling you how they save £100 by switching gas and electricity every year. They don't advise you on the difference between bankruptcy and an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) either.

For the most part, their tips are about how to be successful in your life, career or in business. Reassuringly, many of their tips are identical, and pleasantly none of them advise you to be cut-throat.

The only way most of us will be better off financially in the UK is if P.A.Y.E. was abolished that way we could claim tax relief in the same way the rich do. The more work one does the more one is taxed where is the incentive in that.

Jealousy is a sad thing.  Im not loaded but I wish I had the vision all these billionaires had.  They took out loans and risks to go with their ideas and made it work.

All you moaners had the same chance to make or break your future. If your stuck in a low income job, poor housing and quallity of life get up and do something about it,  its not going to come looking for you.

Look at Peter Jones Dragons den fame.  he failed but got off his arse and is now worth hundreds of millions. THeo started in a poor cyprus family but is now equaly well off.

Good luck to all those men, women and to anyone else who takes the risk.

they have only earned their money on the back of the workers-- case in point james dyson (hoovers) made his money of the backs of the workers in this country then moved everything to india where labour is cheaper to make more money and put the british worker on the scrap heap

rule number 1 for getting rich, powerful and staying that way: Be prepared to lose your soul along the way of pursuing more which will never be enough even though you have enough to afford giving it away!

Everybody who gets insanely rich in material things does so at somebody else's expense. I'd rather have my riches be internal ones thank you so stick your big advice up your 4rses.  I could give these people some advice on being better people... would they want to know? Probably not.

Offer a million pounds to anyone slagging off these tycoons and I bet all of them would take it and their morals would take a back seat. I used to be moralistic when I was younger but after struggling for years paying the bills, looking after a family and depressing work in factories for the last 25 years that way of thinking has been beaten out of me. Offer me a million and I would take it without any thought for morals or other people struggling.Be honest you lot! Money buys you time to do the things you want to do and the means to do it. Unfortunately that is the reality of todays world and has been since money was invented.

Does making yourself billions now constitute a life best led? I'd rather read advice from people who have done a lot for the rest of mankind ..... the people saving lives; the inventors trying to help those with disabilities unlock their potential; the individuals that use their time to help others instead of lining their own pockets and crowing about it.

I have all the riches in this world that  everyone can gain.

Not its not cash in the bank or the latest hi- tech piece of technology or designer fashion item to boast and show off.........Eye-rolling...

My riches are my loving family, My health and strength to support others less fortunate. And to live in love and light of Lord Jesus..

Millionaires can keep their wealth and greed.............Thumbs down

always surprising how people see these people with resent ! starting and building things from scratch should be admired it aint luck its hard work ! these people also give millions to charity which is always a good thing !

Once even these people were nothing and through their own effort have made something, Seriously people, its their own money and advice, if you want it, take  it if not leave it. Its simple!

Much of what they say is true, but, read has anyone here read George Orwell's Keep the Asphidistra Flying? You can't follow your dreams when you have no money for bread and water, especially if you have a family to feed. Somethings gotta give, and unfortunantly, in most cases its one's dreams and ambitions. I just pray I get to realise my dreams but when the money is tight as it is, the only tip that applies from these guys is the one about not being in debt!

I admire these people for their ability to create jobs for others, I am optimistic about making money to better my self and my family, I do not waste my money when I have it but try to do the best with it  . Ironically their are those we all have around us that act like crabs in a bucket, never allowing others to better themselves, rather making them feel wrong about making more money.
Even pointing the finger and saying that they are greedy, if you can not work for it let some one else do what they can, as long as it is legal why should any one be looked down upon.
