The property market is stagnant and many would-be first-time buyers and second steppers simply can’t afford to move.

Because of that, the government recently launched NewBuy, a scheme designed to help people buy new-build homes with just a 5% deposit. Under the scheme, house builders partner up with mortgage lenders who offer 95% loans on their properties.

It’s government-backed, so lenders can offer cheaper rates than they normally would on such high loan-to-values.

Unfortunately, even with this scheme in place to help, house prices are still too high for many aspiring homeowners. So we’ve taken a look at some of the most affordable homes that qualify under the scheme…

i worked for these big housebuilders for 20 years most properties are built fast and yes corners are cut.bad drainage and every fitting and  finish is  im sorry to say poor at best if it wasnt for gripfill and caulking they would basicly fall to pieces.budgets are slashed all trademen are on price work so make a living wage corneres are cut to allow the denied bonuses of contract and site managers to be maintained.all you get is a basic timber frame with plasterboards and a brick shell if your lucky a fake mdf chimeney nailed to the roof .magnolia land with no homely feeling oh and one escape of water and it collapses like a deck of cards
