With the eurozone still in turmoil, many Brits are busy buying euros with an eye to purchasing hugely discounted properties on the continent.

"With all the uncertainty in the eurozone, we are seeing an increase in the number of buyers looking to buy outside of Europe," says Sarah Norman from www.aplaceinthesun.com.

"The good news is there are currently some great bargains to be found in more exotic locations such as Asia, the Caribbean and South America."

Here we pick out 10 eye-catching homes in more exotic locations - all of which come with an affordable price tag.

Do not think that another country's legal system is the same as yours. I made that fatal mistake that cost me £375,000 - my life, my belongings, all. Just look around you and see if you can afford to lose all around you right now before going for any of this.

Er you're joking, right?! These are all disgusting resort-type modern holiday home developments! When I clicked on this gallery, I was expecting to see REAL homes available in genuinely exotic locations (which probably would be genuine bargains in many places) - not these made-for-foreign-investors hideous monstrosities! YUCK.

Hmm. More like Holiday Homes to Me; or Buy to Rent. Would you really want to live in these places. Money invested abroad has many risks. I agree with previous post by John Ferguson. Do lots of homewrk on local Law etc.
