why dose have to be bricks and morter

because agents wont back anything else in this country.

bricks cold and damp prefab warm and dry .timber warm  and dry.

get estate agents and insures to change there attitude we might get somwhere then

We live in a wooden house the only brick is the footings and the chimney breast so warm and easy to run. Have to paint it every 7 years but solid as a rock love it!

The main problem being with a self-build alternative 'eco-house', is getting the planning permission.....

I love the house top right the one with half glass windows (bit like a greenhouse).  I was wathcing "Bob th Builder" with kids and i kid you not, he made one just like it for the major..... OMG i love it and yes i would live in it and with my 6 kids it would have to be a very big one. have a look what i mean at
