The euro is currently very weak against the pound, and this, combined with depressed property prices, has given rise to some great opportunities to pick up bargains in the eurozone.

"Concerns about the stabilities of Eurozone economies has helped the pound strengthen against the euro," says Sarah Norman from www.aplaceinthesun.com.

"With prices in many destinations falling, this is very much a buyer's market for Brits. Now is the time to take advantage of exchange rates and bag yourself a bargain."

Here we pick out a selection of beautiful homes you can buy in the eurozone and surrounding area for around the £500,000 mark.

A Place in the Sun Live takes place at NEC Birmingham on 28-30 September and MSN Money users get free tickets.

A bargain ?..........I,m sorry, What world do you live in ???

Obviously one in which over half a million is "A BARGAIN"

Here's me thinking MSN was for "The Masses"......"The General Public"

I,m OBVIOUSLY not "General" or "En Masse"

I,m just a poor tradesman who works for a living and thats well out of my league

Maybe I should become a "Career Burgular" Then I might be able to afford it

Judge Peter Bowers thinks "Burghttp://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/09/06/judge-peter-bowers-teeside-crown-court-courage_n_1860491.html?utm_hp_ref=ukulars Have Courage"

I hope "Judge" Peter Bowers is next on the burgulars list.....

Maybe then he will understand what a "VICTIM" is......The Over Educated Unrealistic Senseless Prat

I will just nip to the bank an draw 500 k out an rush abroad to buy a place, do they live in the real world. I for one panic when the electric an gas bills come in and wonder if we can buy food that week or is it just me that cant manage my money very well, if someone would teach me to save 500 k up and still manage to pay my bills i would be very grateful.

I live in Spain, yes the market out here is depressed. £500 is a rare house. MOst are sold between £75000 & £150. £500 a joke.

The pound is low against the euro. Yes it has picked up some during the past year or so, but before dear Gordon became the worst chancellor this country ever had, the pound was over 1.5 to the euro. the euro zone is supposed to be in free fall but still the pound is nowhere near its value of 10 years ago.

Paul, prices in France probably would as not a lot is actually 'owned', like Germany, most are rented so prices are low anyway and land in Europe is a lot cheaper than the UK. Since Maggie created the housing boom prices in the UK have always been artificially high!
